Using the AI assistant

Summarize, translate and write replies, and what happens with your text.

Tap the ✨ button in an email to Summarize it, Translate it, or Write reply with AI. You can tell the AI what the reply should say, for example “accept, propose Tuesday 10:00”. The draft opens in compose so you can change it before sending.

While writing, ✨ offers Polish my text (turns a quick note into a clear, polite email) and Translate.

Limits

Each mailbox can use the assistant 60 times a day. Very long emails are too long for it.

Privacy

Nothing is sent to the AI unless you tap one of these buttons. Then only that email or draft is sent, through our server, to Anthropic (the maker of Claude). It isn’t used to train AI models and we don’t keep the text. Always read the result before relying on it.
